Submissions
We feature Arizona (with an emphasis on Tucson) weddings, engagement sessions, anniversary sessions, inspiration shoots, Arizona travel shoots, and vendor spotlights. Our emphasis is on beautiful photography above all, as we believe quality images are the only way to do justice to the work of all vendors involved.
Due to copyright concerns, we currently only accept submissions from photographers. If you are a vendor or a couple who would like to see your event featured on Desert Dove, we encourage you to ask the photographer to submit images. Photographers: if you are submitting a real wedding/session, please ensure that you have the couple’s permission to share their event. If your submission is accepted, we would love to send a them a few questions to help tell the story of their wedding more completely.
We are a non-exclusive platform, meaning that we do accept work that has previously been featured elsewhere (provided the exclusivity period for that publication has expired). If your work is featured on Desert Dove, you are free to submit it to other publications as well.
To submit, fill out the form on this page and include the link and password to your image gallery (Pixieset, Pass, Google Drive, etc.). Please do not send zipped folders or other types of image attachments. Please submit a curated gallery of 80-100 high resolution images for weddings and styled shoots and 40-50 high resolution images for smaller sessions like engagements and anniversaries. Ideally, we would love to see a variety of images without scrolling through many multiples of very similar shots. If your submission is accepted, you will receive an email with further details and will be asked to send over the download PIN for the gallery, etc., as well as a brief write-up on the event.
We do not feature watermarked images. Please follow this formula when naming your files: [photographer name]-[brief name of shoot]-[number]. For example: Sunshine-Photography-Boho-Engagements-75.
Desert Dove believes in crediting artists’ work, so please be sure that you have information available for all vendors involved in your submission. If your submission is accepted, we will ask that you supply us with the names, websites, and social media handles for everyone involved.
If your submission is not accepted, please don’t be discouraged. Just because it wasn’t a good fit this time, doesn’t mean that we won’t feature your work in the future. We hope you’ll continue to submit your work to us!
Once your feature is live on Desert Dove, we hope that you and the other vendors involved will share it with your social media followers/link to it on your blog.
